Admiral Gial Ackbar is a Mon Calamari military commander in the Star Wars universe, renowned for his strategic brilliance and leadership within the Rebel Alliance and later the New Republic. He first appeared in *Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi* (1983).
